While the Kingdom of Thailand is the most tolerant country in Asia to LGBT persons it is still not legally  accepting.

Thai law currently does not recognize same-sex marriages, civil unions, or domestic partnerships. Despite the lack of formal legal recognition, Thai same-sex couples tend to be publicly tolerated, especially in urban areas such as Bangkok, Phuket or Pattaya.

Is the metropole of gay life in Thailand.  With its over 10 million citizens it doesn’t rely on tourism for creating a lively gay scene. When you to this add  over 20 million tourists visiting per year you get the picture.

Is the biggest beach destination in Thailand with over 40 beaches on Phuket Island itself and numerous other island in the province to visit. Phuket also hosts the biggest gay community south of Bangkok .

Is the closest holiday destination for bangkokians and made itself famous during the vietnam war as the place for R&R for military personnel
